How do you act, speak, or dress differently according to which group you are with or whom you are around? Why do you make these adjustments? Do you think it is hypocritical or false to make such changes? Why or why not? Which is the real you?

My dress or the way I speak doesn't change according to the group I'm with, but the way I act sometimes changes. When I'm with my friends and family I act like myself, but when I'm with someone I don't know it takes some time for me to be as comfortable and I do act more polite. I make these adjustments because I don't like to make bad first impressions. I don't think that the changes I make are hypocritical or false because my change of actions are not the opposite of my normal actions. In fact, they parallel them and I feel that not acting as open and being polite in that situation is actually the right thing to do. They both represent the real me in different situations, but I do feel that my normal actions around my friends and family do represent the real me better.
